Jonathan Besett

Jonathan Besett started playing the pipes at age 9, and as such, has literally grown up in Catamount Pipe Band.  A very successful competitor, he has won more than 13 Pipe Band championships with Catamount Pipe Band, and is a four time finalist at the World Pipe Band Championships in Glasgow, Scotland.

In recent years, he joined the Vermont Institute of Celtic Arts board and has been helping organize many of our events and concerts.  In addition to playing in Catamount Pipe Band, he has also been instructing the Norwich University Pipe Band for the last 6 years.  A multi-instrumentalist, Jonathan plays Highland pipes, snare, and bass drum.
